Mallory earned her MA in Religion from Syracuse University in 2014 with her thesis “Caste in Thirdspace: Theorizing Caste in Modern India with Edward Soja’s Thirdspace” and her BA in World Religion and English Literature from McGill University in 2012. Her current research focuses on Dalit (ex-untouchable) Buddhist converts in Maharashtra, India and their developing relationships with global Buddhist movements in the UK and US. She has studied the South Asian languages of Hindi, Sanskrit, and Marathi.
